What to see in The Royal Parks

This article comes to you from The Royal Parks team who are the charity that manage our Hyde Park home, as well as thousands of acres of historic parkland.

Although we know you’ll be wanting to dive straight into the festive fun at Hyde Park Winter Wonderland, have you thought about the location where the event takes place?

Hyde Park is one of the eight Royal Parks you’ll find around London and throughout these green spaces are items of interest for everyone.

If gardens are your thing, then how about the picturesque Italian Gardens in Kensington Gardens or the stunning Rose Garden in Hyde Park. Or perhaps you like a historical monument, why not check out the Bomber Command Memorial in The Green Park or the Peter Pan Statue in Kensington Gardens.

Perhaps you want even more family fun, well that’s okay as The Royal Parks have got you covered with the South Carriage Drive Playground before you pick up a memento at The Royal Parks Shop in Hyde Park.

To help you along the way The Royal Parks have produced three separate walking routes for you to enjoy and take in some iconic views across The Green Park, Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park.

Although Marble Arch and Hyde Park Corner might be the nearest underground stations to Hyde Park Winter Wonderland, they’ll also be the busiest throughout the course of the event. So why not take a scenic stroll from Lancaster Gate, Green Park or Knightsbridge instead?

This way you’ll be able to enjoy some quiet corners, historic memorials and iconic views of the Royal Parks on your way to the festive fun!
