So you’ve decided this is the year you finally tick the London festive bucket-list experience off your list. Excellent choice. But if you’re a first-timer, the sheer scale of Hyde Park Winter Wonderland can feel a tad overwhelming. That’s where this blog comes in. Consider this your trusty field guide: packed with tips, shortcuts and insider hacks to help you get the most out of your day (and night).
Do you need tickets for Winter Wonderland? Yes. Entry is ticketed, and the best tip is to book online in advance. It guarantees your spot and is the best-value option. Fancy squeezing more fun out of your visit? Check out our packages. They bundle up some of our must-do attractions as well as providing you with other benefits like ride/game credit and food & drink included, so you’ll spend less time at the tills and more time soaking up the magic. Even better, attractions work out 10% cheaper when you buy them as part of a package.

How long should you allow for Winter Wonderland? Most visitors stay 4-5 hours, exploring rides, markets and food stalls. Add in ice skating, Zippos Christmas Circus and a couple races down the Real Ice Slide, and you’ve got yourself a full festive day or evening.
Insider tip: don’t over-schedule. The best memories happen when you let yourself wander and discover hidden corners you weren’t expecting.

It’s winter, it’s outdoors and it’s in the middle of Hyde Park… so yes, you’ll want to keep warm. Luckily, we’ve thought of that. Seek out the crackling fires inside Thor’s Tipi Bar, wrap your hands around a steaming hot mulled wine at The Christmas Tree Arms or duck into one of the bars in the Bavarian Village. There’s plenty of cosy spots around Winter Wonderland for you to discover. You can check some of them out here. And remember, layers are your best friend.

Hyde Park Corner, Marble Arch and Green Park are your closest Tube stations, but don’t sleep on Bond Street or Knightsbridge if you want to dodge the crowds. Night buses and later trains will get you home, but check your last train times before you dive into that final stein of beer.

We know it’s impossible to do everything in one visit, but here are three can’t-miss highlights:
Glide under the stars on the UK’s largest open-air ice rink.
Brave the Giant Wheel for sweeping views of the city lights.
Step inside the Magical Ice Kingdom – a frozen world of glittering sculptures and frosty surprises.
Now you’ve got the tips, tricks and insider hacks, you’re ready to experience Hyde Park Winter Wonderland 2025 like a pro. Don’t forget your hat, your gloves and your appetite. Book your tickets now and start planning your ultimate festive day out.
